What type of home are you looking for? There are so many choices when you think about buying a home, it is important to have an idea of what you want and need before you begin looking. Consider making a checklist of amenities that are essential and those you would like to have in your new home.

Below is a list which may help you clarify your thinking on what is important to you when you are ready to purchase.

* What neighborhood(s) would you like to live in?
* What price range do you have in mind?
* What type of home interests you? (one story, two story, split entry, townhouse, condo, duplex)
* What style appeals to you? (contemporary, traditional, colonial, southwest, no preference)
* Are schools a factor?
* Do you need to be close to public transportation?
* How many bedrooms and bathrooms do you need?  How many do you want?
* Are there additional special interior features that you would like? (family room, formal dining room, home office, air conditioning, separate laundry room)
* What about exterior features?  Have you considered a garage, patio/deck, pool, hot tub, view, waterfront, or yard size?
* Are there any other special features you are looking for in a home?

When you are ready to start your home search, I will be happy to help you find a home that really suits your lifestyle. My goal is to make this a fun and enjoyable experience.

Please feel free to call or email me when you are ready to start looking. I welcome the opportunity to represent you.

When is the right time to buy? People move for a variety of reasons, some want to become part of a community, others to establish a lifestyle and provide for their family, and many think real estate is a good investment and want the tax benefits.

There are many advantages to home ownership:

* Your home can appreciate over time, increasing the value of your equity in the house and your personal net worth.
* Mortgage interest payments and property taxes are often tax-deductible.
* You have the ability to improve or change your home, such as painting your walls or putting in new carpeting.
* Whether you need more space for a personal office, a guest bedroom, or the children, generally a home will offer you more space than an apartment.
* Enjoyment. Plain and simple, most homeowners take a great deal of pride in their new home.

When you are ready to purchase a home, I welcome the opportunity to represent you. In the meantime, I will continue to send you valuable information about buying a home. Please don't hesitate to call or email me if I can answer any questions.
