Handsome Hog was opened in 2016 by Carol March with the former chef of Meritage, Justin Sutherland, at the helm. It is centered on the pig, obviously, using every bit, and it has a Southern flair to the food. And, oh yeah, they have an affinity for bourbon and suggest that you do as well. The decor is contemporary and minimalist, and the service is great. The menu is bursting with flavorful dishes, such as Sausage Gravy Poutine, Bourbon Braised Beef Shortrib, Porcelet Chop, and Mana Sandwich. If you can't decide, there is the Combo #5. They also have a meat bar featuring the daily selection of pig. They have a bevy of drinks as well. In addition to over 100 bottles of bourbon, they have cocktails such as Sage Against the Machine, We Smoke Anything, and Thunderkiss. They also have beer, whiskey flights, and wine.
