The Stone Arch Bridge is a famous landmark in Minneapolis. It was constructed in 1883! It offers a gorgeous panoramic view of St. Anthony Falls and is recognized as a National Civilized Engineering Landmark. It is a part of the Central Mississippi Riverfront Regional Park and offers a bike trail and walking path. Fun fact: The railroad offered the bridge to the City of Minneapolis for $1 after the railroad system was no longer used in 1980. The city rejected the offer, concerned about the cost of upkeep. In 1989, Hennepin County bought it from the railroad for $1001!
