Artistry MN's aim it toring together artists in the Midwest from diverse backgrounds in order to showcase an array of creative works, itncluding visual arts and progressive theater. Theyi are proud of their Bloomington roots, and their goal in addition to producing excellent creative arts is to foster community among the artists.

Artistry MN was formed when two nonprofits merged in 2009. Those two nonprofits were the Bloomington Art Center (a visual arts and educational organization, not to be confused with the Bloomington Center for the Arts, which is a building and in which Artistry MN resides) and the Bloomington Civic Theatre.

The coalition called itself "Bloomington Theatre and Art Center, but then changed its name to Artistry MN in 2015, partly because they did not want to be confused with the facility. But, also, because they wanted to emphasize the point of their organization.

Artistry MN has several theatrical productions a year as well as art exhibits. The former include In the Heights and Billy Elliott: The Musical.  The latter offers art such as Nostalgic Escapism. All of these offer a variety of experiences/art from different cultures.

They also offer classes and a summer camp on the educational side of their mission. The classes include a craft studio, clay classes, a dance studio, and more.
