Bloomington Linoleum and Carpet was founded in 1955 to provide quality flooring to the community. Thirty-five years later, Abbey Decorating Center, located on Galaxie Avenue in Apple Valley, was established and incorporated. In 2011, Abbey Decorating Center buys Bloomington Linoleum & Carpet, renaming it Bloomington Carpet & Floor. A year later, they rebranded both stores as Galaxie Floor Stores, and that is how they are marketed now.
