Carver Lake Park is an idyllic natural setting in the heart of the city, and it can be a breathe of literal fresh air in the middle of a hectic day. It is filled with things to do for everyone in the family, ranging from trails (hiking and biking, both regular and mountain) to plenty of beach area for sunning and swimming. There are no guards on the beach. There are also beach and sand volleyball, playground equipment for the younger set, and plenty of space for a nice, mid-afternoon picnic in the summer.
