The Falafel King is a Mediterranean restaurant started by a man from Jerusalem who set up a falafel stand outside his bordering school in the sixth grade to take care of his large family. He earned the name Falafel King, and he brought his expertise to Minnesota where he established two restaurants, one of them in Brooklyn Center. He also has a food truck that he parts in downtown Minneapolis from May through September during from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. And they do catering as well.
The service is fast and friendly even if the restaurant itself is no-frills when it comes to decor. Their menu includes Gyro Sandwich, Lamb Burger, Kofta Kabob Bowl, Shwarma Plate, and more. They also have vegetarian options. For dessert, try the baklava or chocolate baklava.
