Grass Lake is 27 acres of wetland in the south end of Kenny. The wetlands are shallow, not deep, and there is wildlife surrounding it. People have identified 430+species, including painted turtles, wood ducks, wild blackberries and raspberries, and bumblebees. It has a paved walking loop so you can get your steps in while enjoying the nature around you.
Grass Lake relies on the locals to help keep the wetlands healthy. They organize buckthorn bursts with volunteers to keep that invasive species at bay. They encourage neighhbors to tidy up as they enjoy the wetlands for the health of said wetlands.
