Memorial Park was opened in 1948 and is one of the city's oldest parks. The annual Memorial Day program is held here as is some amateur baseball fun between the two local teams, the Jays and the Mudcats. There is a playground area that is enjoyable for the younger set, and there is a picnic shelter nearby (and another one in the park as well). There are grills available, too. For the sporty type, a basketball court and baseball field are available. There is a concession stand connected with the baseball field.
