From 1880-1930 Minneapolis was known as the Flour Capital of the World! The Washburn A Mill was the most advanced in the world until it was replaced by the Pillsbury Mill across the river. The Mill was restored by the Minnesota Historical Society and opened as a museum in 2003. Lots of hands on activities, and a 12 minute elevator ride known as the Flour Tower Show is a must! $10 per adult, $8 for seniors, $5 for children 6 to 17, and kids 5 and under are free.
