Rice Park is a small and simple park in Downtown St. Paul with a magnificent fountain that is the  main attraction of the park. There is the Wells Fargo WinterSkate ice rink adjacent to the park, and it is available in the winter for free outdoor rink skating. It also participates in the Fitness in the Park program in the summer. There are many festivals that occur in the park, including the annual Saint Paul Winter Carnival (Rice Park is the primary area in which events happen). The Ice Sculpture Garden, a signature event of the carnival, is hosted in this park.
