Sakura was opened in 1990 by Miyoko Omori as she wanted to share her passion for Japanese food with the community. Sakura means cherry blossom, and there's a painting of a cherry blossom on one of the walls. The decor is contemporary and contemplative, and the service is friendly and warm. It has become a staple of the neighborhood, and Omori's intent on building community has worked. The menu includes Yakiniku, Makunouchi Bento, and Sushi & Tempura Teisyoku (set dinner). The sushi menu includes Sakura Sushi, Tamago, Saba, and more. The rolls include ECOLAB, The Leipold Roll, and Dancing Eel.
