Taylors Falls is just a short jaunt from the Twin Cities, and many Twin Citizens visit Interstate State Park, especially for the hiking trails and rock climbing. Besides the State Park, there is also much to do in the area with Wild Mountain nearby. Wild Mountain offers skiing and snowboarding in the winter, and a water park, alpine slide and go-karts in the summer.
