This designation is the first one that I pursued after getting my real estate license. It is a natural fit for me, the technology geek. This course has changed over the years, but it essentially covers:
- Advanced training in the use of technology
- The latest in social media
- Office technology strategies
- Paperless Agent and electronic signatures
But most of these items were things I was already doing BEFORE I took the course. The only exception is the last item, paperless and electronic signatures. The industry wasn't ready to adopt this as fast as I was. In our market now, I would venture a guess that more than half of the agents are using electronic signatures.
I am always eager to try a new technology to see if it can benefit myself, or my clients. If it doesn't provide a benefit, then I past it. But if it is beneficial, it becomes part of my core.
The e-PRO designation is one that is given out by the National Association of REALTORS (NAR).
