Hi I'm Steven Hong with Full Circle Home Team and RE/MAX Results and in today's video I'm going to be talking about 5 of the biggest items around the Twin Cities. Some of these are the biggest items around the state as well, but I'll leave that for you to decide. And if you stick around til the end, I've got a couple extra bonus items as well.
#1 And here we are at the Mall of America. This was built in 1992, and it's the largest mall in the Twin Cities. It's actually one of the largest malls in the US. It boasts over 300 stores, and inside you'll also find a dedication to Harmon Killabrew with the home base from the original Metropolitan Stadium where the Minnesota Twins used to play. There is also a chair inside there representing the longest home run he ever hit here at 522 feet.
#2 And here we have Minnesota's largest State Capitol. Oh wait, i guess it's Minnesota's only state capitol, but it is the largest state capitol we have, and it does feature the #3 largest golden horses... I think they're the largest golden horses. Let me check...(google search)... Well, if they are not the largest golden horses, it does feature locally sourced, and organic Kasota stone and limestone, freshly farmed from the area here.
#4 Next up is the US Bank Stadium, which is where our foot ball team, the Minnesota Vikings play. it is a fixed roof stadium and it was completed in 2016 at a cost of about a Billion dollars. It replaces the former metrodome on the same site and this new stadium seats about 67,000 fans.
#5 And no minnesota list would be complete without talking about our Minnesota State Fair. or as us locals call it, the great minnesota get together. it is the largest state fair in the country by average daily attendance. We average about 200,000 people daily over 10 days for a total of about 2,000,000 visitors. Even Texas, the land of the big, doesn't come close at about 115,000 daily visitors.
Thanks for sticking with me til the end, and new content is coming soon so don't forget to subscribe. and as i promised, i've got a couple extra bonus items for you.
#6 We've got Paul Bunyon and Babe his Blue Ox in Bemiji.
#7 and We've got, of course, the headquarters of the Mighty Mississippi, in Itaska. And
#8 They do things big in Texas, but we have this giant boot!
